Your day by day program

The bay of Saint Florent

Lodu beach and the Mortella tower

After a delicious breakfast, you will take a thirty minute boat ride from Saint Florent towards the beautiful beaches of Saleccia and Lodu, the most beautiful beaches on Corsica. From here, you will have a superb walk along the coastline, passing hidden creeks and taking you through the wild "maquis" (Corsican scrub packed with herbs, wild asparagus and wild flowers depending upon the season). You will reach the ruins of the majestic Genoise Mortella tower before continuing along the coast in the direction of Saint Florent and your hotel.

Towards the Balagne

Enjoy the cafe culture of Saint Florent before a private transfer takes you through the stunning wilderness known as the "Agriates" towards the heart of the Balagne region. You will arrive at the seaside town of Calvi, where you can wander around the old town and citadel or, should you so wish, you can take a walk to the Notre Dame de la Serra Chapel, with it's breathtaking view over the bay. Alternatively, why not take a boat to the Scandola nature reserve or undertake one of the many other activities that are proposed in the area.
Night in a five star hotel.

Calvi - To the Austrian cross or the Revellata lighthouse.

You have the choice of two superb walks. The first takes you to the highest point above Calvi, an exhilarating walk with incredible panoramic views. The second takes you along the coast to the Revellata lighthouse on a wild peninsular to the south of the town, where you can profit from the turquoise waters and stunning coastal landscapes.

The Corsican train; original and unforgettable.

Today you will discover another side of Corsica; the interior. After a transfer to Calvi train station, you will board the train that will take you through quite magnificent landscapes. From village to village, from the coast to the empty and mountainous heart of the island, you will reach Corte, the ancient capital of Corsica. A taxi will meet you at the train station and transfer you to your hotel in a beautiful setting next to the river.

Walking up the gorge your eyes will be open to completely new and exciting landscapes, that will leave you in awe of this fiercely proud island. Eventually you will come to the bridge over the river where you can bathe in the rock pools with crystal clear waters. Return after a refreshing swim back down to Corte.

Clients feedback

Yael. Z 04 October 2018

The trip was very well-planned according to our requests. Lodging was good to very good. The people who picked up our luggage for transfers were always extremely punctual and reliable. Our only issue had both a good and bad side. Arriving the first week in October meant that there were no crowds, less traffic, and it was easy to get into restaurants. The bad news was that many things were already closed for the season and were unavailable. One glaring example was that when we went to use our voucher for a boat transfer in St. Florent the water taxi had closed for the season. With great persistence and very little French we were able to arrange for a private boat to take us. Although we made sure that everything went as planned, I think it's important for others planning a trip at that time to know that it is definitely post-season and they should know in advance that many places will be closed...
